Born in the depths of COVID lockdown on the trails of the Santa Monica and San Gabriel Mountains, OMOYA is an international collaboration between Japanese singer songwriter and sound artist Maya Hall and Los Angeles-based film composer Daniel Walter. The music is grounded in improvisation, loop layering, and site-specific field recordings and performance, with the intention of rooting the listener in place and reconnecting to our urban ecology.

The first OMOYA EP is complete and will release in spring 2023 through a series of garden shows in Los Angeles.
